TAA
Peer Mentoring Program Melbourne –
2010 - Sundays
10am – 1pm

Sept. 12th: Facilitator: Meran Cassidy will present ~ Embodying:' A Hands on Relationship Between Anatomy and Movement'.
VENUE: Dancehouse (upstairs studio), 150 Princes Street, Carlton 3054 COST: $10 DTAA members/ $25 non-members.

EMBODYING Our anatomical movement is alive and a vital part of our living breathing self.
The story of evolution has the potential to deepen our understanding of our body in motion.

We will begin a self- enquiry into our anatomy by considering the spine, girdles and limbs through movement and
hands -on explorations using a variety of mediums - the skeleton, self sense and movement, palpation and drawing,
all being possibilities to develop our understanding of living anatomy. The cell, the fish, the mammal; all hold aspects of our human motion.
We will consider this and see what unfolds through our own understanding of human movement with lots of questions, movement explorations and fun.

Freeing and increasing our range of movement can also be a way of building a more flexible and toned body.

access to our personal stories. We will use the mediums of creative movement, intuitive drawing and dialogues

Our personal history shapes the body … and determines how we feel, move, think and act…” ( G. Hoffman Soto).
